What is the Highway 7 Roundabout Project?

Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), in partnership with McLeod County, is planning to construct a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Highway 7 and County Road 1 near Lester Prairie.

• The project is planned to be constructed in 2023, and work will require a detour.
  Proposed improvements include:
  • Construct a single-lane roundabout
  • Add a multi-use trail on all sides of the roundabout
    to provide future connection in the area
  • Add sidewalks that meet Americans with Disabilities standards
    for people who walk or bike
